Overview
As an Email Designer for Pharmacy2U, I was responsible for designing and building a wide range of promotional email campaigns that supported seasonal sales, product launches, and healthcare initiatives. My role required end-to-end ownership of the email creative process—from concept through to deployment.
I designed the full visual layout of each campaign using Photoshop and Illustrator, creating custom graphical assets, product collages, offer icons, and promotional banners. Attention to detail was crucial, particularly when blending brand guidelines with vibrant, commercial styling to ensure each campaign stood out in crowded inboxes.
A key focus of my work was typographic hierarchy and colour contrast, which I used strategically to emphasise calls to action, highlight discounts, and maintain strong visual flow throughout long-form email layouts. Every visual element was purpose-built to be mobile-responsive and optimized for both aesthetic impact and usability across devices.
Working across multiple product categories—including skincare, supplements, allergy relief, men’s grooming, dental care, and wellness—I tailored each design to the tone and audience of the promotion while maintaining brand coherence.
Each email assets was then sent to the marketing team who would use a drag and drop ESP to build the email based on my visual and exported assets.
Outcome
Although my time at Pharmacy2U was a short-term, one-month contract, it was a highly productive and creatively rewarding engagement. I was brought in to support the marketing team during a peak promotional period and to front load upcoming campaigns, where rapid turnaround and brand consistency were essential. Despite the tight timeline, I was able to contribute immediately, delivering a series of high-impact promotional emails that would drive visibility for key seasonal campaigns.
During this period, I applied my expertise in visual hierarchy, typography, and responsive email design to create engaging layouts and compelling product-focused graphics. The designs I produced not only elevated the visual standard of the campaigns but also demonstrated how thoughtful design can support commercial performance. My ability to deliver polished, on-brand assets under pressure was well received by the team, leaving a lasting positive impression within the organisation.
